Why I Started My Law Firm
After years of practicing law in both large national firms and boutique litigation practices, I decided to build something of my own. Starting Dover Legal was not just about independence—it was about intention.
Throughout my legal career, I’ve had the privilege of working on complex files, high-stakes disputes, and sensitive regulatory matters. I've seen the value of deep legal expertise, the power of strategic thinking, and the importance of precision. But I’ve also come to understand that the most effective advocacy begins with listening. Clients need more than capable counsel—they need clarity, responsiveness, and a relationship built on trust.
I started Dover Legal to create a practice that reflects those values.
My goal is to offer clients high-calibre legal representation—delivered with the agility, focus, and personal attention that’s often difficult to find in larger institutional settings. Whether navigating a civil dispute or responding to regulatory issues, my clients can expect thoughtful, practical advice and rigorous advocacy tailored to their needs.
In addition to my litigation practice, I’m also a certified mediator through the ADR Institute of Ontario (ADRIO). This training has deepened my ability to navigate conflict in a way that prioritizes resolution without compromising strength. Whether I’m acting as a neutral or advocating for a client, I approach disputes with an understanding that not every matter needs to be won in court to be successfully resolved. Mediation can offer faster, more cost-effective outcomes while preserving relationships and minimizing risk, and that perspective informs everything I do.
I also founded this firm with an eye toward the future of the profession. The legal landscape is changing, and clients deserve lawyers who are adaptive, approachable, and efficient, without compromising on excellence. Dover Legal is built to meet that standard.
